Jan 20th Art Work

Bruton 20mph underpants art 1Inspired by the art of Pipilotti Rist (currently exhibiting at Hauser and Wirth) and that of the mysterious Pantsy (creator of the awesome ‘Keep Bruton Irie’ signs) Basii have created a 20mph art work.  This temporary installation, for the 20th of January, is located on Bruton High Street, near the telephone box. It ties in with our 20mph campaign in which something (sometimes small, sometimes large) happens within Bruton on the 20th of each month until Bruton gets a 20mph speed limit.

Many organisations, from the Alzheimer’s Society to the Campaign to Protect Rural England, are campaigning for 20mph to be the default limit in residential areas. Many towns and cities are implementing 20mph limits. If you believe that Bruton should have a 20mph limit, and haven’t signed the written petition, then please sign the online petition.
