This Sunday, the 11th October, Bruton will become one of the smallest towns in the world to have a Critical Mass ride. Cyclists, pedestrians, skate boarders and others will be meeting at Cuckoo Hill Green at 10am for a short ride (or walk) around the town to celebrate cycling, to celebrate sustainable transport and show support for better pedestrian and cycle links within Bruton.
Absolutely everyone is welcome but we especially need
- some pedestrians with cameras;
- some unicyclists;
- a politician;
- and a journalist.
If you are driving through Bruton on Sunday morning please take extra care. There will be a lot of families cycling with young children. It may be the first time that some of the children have cycled on the roads so please be extra patient and give them lots of space.
Please join the critical mass. All participants are expected to the obey the highway code and are responsible for their own and their children’s safety.
Please share this information with anyone (particularly unicyclists, politicians and journalists) who may be interested.
Please also read our previous posts about paths and consider signing this petition.
